Through the Symphony & Conservatory's education and outreach program Music Memory, students in Cape Cod elementary and middle schools have embarked on an interactive, in-depth study of 12-16 composers, their life and works. On May 29th, elementary and middle school students and their teachers will come together for the Music Memory Concert where the works they have studied will be played. The excerpts and full-length selections will be played by the Cape Symphony Music Memory Orchestra, conducted by Jung-Ho Pak.
During the concert, as teams represent their schools, students will compete in the "name-that-tune" style contest to guess the piece, selection, and composer. We will also be live-streaming the event into the schools so their classmates can participate!
This exciting experience is the culminating event that students look forward to after a year of hard work and fun in the Music Memory curriculum. The Concert will be held on Wednesday, May 29, 11am at Cape Cod Church in East Falmouth. Adults enrolled in the Music Memory course at the Cape Conservatory are also invited to participate in the contest.
