Join: Placement auditions for the 2018|19 season will be held in early September.
Students with a passion for singing -- or even a burning curiosity! -- are invited to join our dynamic youth chorus directed by John Yankee. In a relaxed, friendly environment, we will address healthy vocal techniques, including posture, breathing and tone production, diction and head voice. Students will develop rhythmic skills and learn to sing in unison and harmony.
The chorus performs music of a variety of styles and historical periods, including folk, world, popular and classical songs – anything from Mozart to the Muppets. This is a wonderful opportunity for students to discover and uncover more about themselves and their “natural instrument,” while making new friends and vibrant music. The only requirements for participation are a sense of adventure and a sense of humor!
