CYO Philharmonic: Program overview

This season, the Philharmonic schedule will be divided into two, seven-week orchestra cycles. We are hoping this will help to accommodate students with busy schedules. The cycles will include sections led by Cape Symphony & Conservatory musicians, full orchestra rehearsals, an orchestra retreat, trips to the Cape Symphony concerts, and an opportunity to work with CYO Music Director, Christopher Schroeder, and Cape Symphony Music Director, Jung-Ho Pak.

Cycle 1  |  Sept. 17 - Nov 5
Cycle 2  |  Feb. 4 - April 8

Between each cycle, Philharmonic musicians will have the opportunity to participate in our Holiday Chamber Ensemble, serve a peer mentor to our Chamber Strings and Debut Winds musicians, and take part in our new Creative Ensemble, where student musicians will develop their composition and music improvisation skills, preparing and performing original music in collaboration with youth artists and poets across Cape Cod.

Holiday Chamber Ensembles (Optional)  |  Nov. 13 - Dec. 12
Creative Ensemble (Optional)  |  Jan 7 - 28 & Apr. 22 - May 20
