The Conservatory Youth Choir is an ensemble singing experience designed for singers, ages 9 and up. In an engaging and supportive environment, students will develop proper singing technique, learn basic solfege and sightreading skills, and explore an engaging musical repertoire, encompassing many different genres. As part of the Choir curriculum, every singer will receive at least one 1-on-1 coaching session, per semester. Each semester of Conservatory Youth Choir will culminate in a meaningful performance opportunity. This ensemble is under the directorship of choral conductor, Joe Dudzinski, with the assistance of singer and educator, Mary George.

Develop proper singing technique

Perform in an end-of-session concert

Joe has also studied with Dr. Stan Engebretson (Stanford U.), conductor of the National Philharmonic Chorus, and Dr. Laura Mann (Eastman School); Dr. Mann has performed more than 40 opera roles in Europe and the U.S., and now tours with her recital “Operatunity.”

  • Master’s in Music, George Mason University, Virginia.
  • Second master’s degree from the Catholic University of America. 

Joseph was awarded the Melton Music Teaching Scholarship at George Mason University in 2000 in recognition of his experience as an educator on the elementary, secondary and adult levels, and his proficiency in piano, organ and voice.  He has conducted choral groups for twenty years, mainly in Washington, DC.  He currently lives in Hyannis, MA, and serves as music director at Christ Church Plymouth.  Prior to joining the Conservatory, he taught piano, voice, chorus and vocal workshops at the Nantucket School of Music. He is also active in studio teaching, performing, and choral adjudication.  As bass/baritone, he has sung the role of the Count in Figaro and has twice performed a recital of Moses Hogan Spirituals.
