A dynamic summer course designed for artists ages 16 and up, who have an interest in developing their artist portfolio. The curriculum is especially valuable for those who have an interest in attending an art school as either a first-time freshman or transfer student.  We will help guide you in compiling your work, navigating the application process, and developing your artistic ability.

Led by artist Lauren Lortie, students will:

  • Gain personal development of basic and advanced drawing skills in any genre
  • Create and improve the body of work necessary for any college entry portfolio
  • Assist with the scheduling of portfolio reviews with admissions counselors at selected schools
  • Receive individualized tutoring within the group setting

Lauren is a graduate of the School of the Museum of Fine Arts at Tufts University and currently studying at Massachusetts College of Art with a concentration in painting.  She is a life-long resident of Cape Cod and excited to contribute to the community through art and education.
